A LEAD DECKHAND REQUIRED FOR 60M EXPEDITION YACHT (Private & Charter)

YACHT INFORMATION:

A busy 60m expedition yacht is currently searching for a LEAD DECKHAND to join their crew of 13 in Australia.  The yacht has a Busy itinerary means longs hours and remote locations and must be comfortable with this. Must have previous yacht experience at least two years on a similar size yacht & excellent references.  Ideally the candidate would need to enjoy some of the following activities in their spare time, diving, spear fishing, fishing, surfing, kite surfing, wakeboarding and golf.

Indian Ocean & Asia

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous Yacht experience a must.
  • STCW95/medical
  • Yacht master offshore or higher
  • Must have Australian Working Rights
  • Good longevity and references
  • Diving & Fishing experience advantageous
  • Hard worker keen to learn, must have attention to detail and pick up concepts quickly OMIT
  • Must have Tender driving experience.

A SOLE ENGINEER POSITION ON 40M MOTOR YACHT (PRIVATE; DAY & OVER NIGHT CHARTER) Australian Flagged

WORK INFORMATION:

An owner of a 40m motor yacht, (commercial) Regulated Australian Vessel with AMSA is currently searching for a SOLE ENGINEER  to join their crew of 5. The engineer will be required to join the yacht here in Australia. Must have worked on yachts of this size or similar and have a strong knowledge of Sydney and East coast of Australia. The ideal candidate would be expected to have at least 5 years plus experience working as a Engineer, and have a strong service culture for both corporate and family use.  The yacht will spend the majority of its time in Sydney Harbour on charter however will travel occasionally to the Whitsunday islands so knowing this area would be an advantage. 

You will need to be well organised, clean and tidy in the engine room, have strong computer skills, good knowledge of commercial yacht compliance and Australian regulations and maritime law.

Work in Sydney will generally be based on 5.5 day week but managed to suit the vessels usage, and when travelling from Sydney on prolonged days time in lieu will be arranged.

This position would suit someone who is prepared to travel with the vessel but is happy to be based in Sydney for the majority of the vessels operations. It would be a bonus if you like diving and fishing as you may be asked to assist with the deckhand on guest trips from time to time.

ITINERARY:

Sydney Harbour and  during September, October or occasionally at other times, the Australian East Coast,  Whitsunday Islands and possibility parts of the South Pacific.

QUALIFICATIONS: (AMSA TICKETS REQUIRED)

  • MUST HOLD  a MED1 or Class 3 AMSA TICKET
  • HAVE AT least 2-5 years experience on super yachts
  • CURRENT AMSA -STCW95/COSTING COURSE
  • MUST HOLD A CURRENT AMSA medical
  • Current first aid & CPR

START DATE:  January 2019

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:  FULL TIME

SALARY: $100,000- $110,000AUD PER YEAR – plus  Superannuation per year. Negotiable to the right person with the right qualifications/Experience and longevity in previous jobs

 

A CHIEF OFFICER REQUIRED FOR A 85M MOTOR YACHT (NEW BUILD) FOREIGN FLAGGED)

WORK INFORMATION: - OPEN TO COUPLES 


A CHIEF OFFICER REQUIRED to join a 85m motor yacht in its build stage. Must be experienced and worked on a similar size yacht.  You will be required to manage at least 6 exterior crew and work closely with the captain. The yacht is looking for someone with the following skills and abilities

  • Must have strong experience with large cranes and tenders.
  • Be a strong organiser and exceptional leader to your fellow deck crew;
  • demonstrable longevity aboard extremely well run motor yachts.
  • Have an excellent eye for detail and presentation.
  • Be prepared to work on deck along with the other deck team members
  • Have been aboard yachts through extensive and successful shipyard periods.
  • Be able to manage a budget and control funds with proper corporate governance.

BENEFITS; Full time 42 days leave a year, though extra time is given by the owner in down time.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Must hold a MCA chief mates 3000 tonne ticket; STCW95; ENG1 MEDICAL; B1/B2 VISA; have strong experience with large tenders and cranes; good knowledge in ISM, ISPS and MLC compliance requirements; Be able to oversee all deck operations including maintenance, supervision and preparation of Guests Equipment on board. Have been aboard yachts through extensive and successful shipyard periods.  Be able to manage a budget and control funds with proper corporate governance. Be fit, healthy and well presented - this is not a party nor "drinking" crew.

WORK INFORMATION: OPEN TO COUPLES


A CHIEF STEWARDESS REQUIRED to join a 85m motor yacht in its build stage. Must be experienced and worked on a similar size yacht. closely with the captain. The yacht is looking for someone with the following skills and abilities

  • Must have strong experience in managing a team of 5-6 interior crew
  • Will be requested to assistant Captain in light purser responsibilities, experience with these duties would be beneficial.
  • Supported by very strong 2nd Stew / Lead service
  • Candidate will be required to be highly articulate, extremely well presented and professional.
  • They must have a  very high standard and strong eye to detail within the interior.
  • Be a strong organiser and exceptional leader to your fellow interior crew;
  • demonstrable longevity aboard extremely well run motor yachts.
  • Have an excellent eye for detail and presentation.
  • Have been aboard yachts through extensive and successful shipyard periods.

A EXPERIENCED DECKHAND REQUIRED FOR A 50M MOTOR YACHT (PRIVATE & FOREIGN FLAGGED)

YACHT INFORMATION:

A 50M motor yacht (Busy Private) yacht is currently searching for a EXPEREICNED DECKHAND  to join their crew of 9 in Thailand  The ideal candidate will need to be aged between 20-30's. The yacht is a very busy family orientated yacht, the owner likes crew that can show longevity within their jobs as the owner dislikes crew change. A good team attitude is a must for this yacht as you the yacht will be travelling to remote places. Need to be a professional person, relaxed and be calm, must be young and energetic and hard worker as well.

The deckhand will be required to drive a 40ft tender, so having strong tender skills is a must. Hold a yacht-masters or OOW Navigation watch leader certification; have strong ISM experience. Strong diving skills is must or hold a open water or higher would be a asset.

BENEFITS: Package includes 13month bonus 5-1 rotation with 2 return flights a year, medical.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have excellent skills in Bridge & Deck management and strong water-sports background, Strong maintenance knowledge. Hard working team player.

Thailand then onto, Indo then back around the world trip.
