A PRIVATE HOUSE IN NSW IS SEARCHING FOR A PROFESSIONAL HOUSEKEEPER/COOK

WORK INFORMATION:

A private home in Sydney Eastern Suburbs is searching for a professional housekeeper/cook. This position is for a person who is prepared to provide longevity with the owners. This is not a live-in role, and you will need to have your own transport. A police check will be required.

The person needs to have a happy, positive disposition, exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a proactive, hardworking attitude. The successful candidate must be reliable, well-prepared, and willing to go the extra mile to deliver a high standard. (Ideally this would suit an ex super yacht interior steward/ess )

Working with and reporting to the house manager you will be maintaining the interior of a large five-bedroom home (two of which are spare). Ideal candidate will need to have all the initiative, autonomy, and attributes one would expect with housekeeping ability to an exceptional standard for a home comparable to a high-end yacht.

The Housekeeping responsibilities:

• Daily cleaning of the kitchen.
• The bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, formal lounge, dining and family room, other internal areas of the home as needed.
• While attending to the laundry and ironing.
• The owner runs a boutique vintage shop, and some washing and ironing is required for this also.
• Having some wardrobe management skills would be beneficial as the owner has extensive walk-in wardrobe.

The housekeeper will be expected to complete a minimum of 30-hour week from Monday to Friday 8am-2pm.

Some light cooking duties will be expected, such as preparing occasional breakfast and some dinner meal prep. Understanding pantry and fresh produce requirements, would be an asset. The whole family enjoys healthy cooking, however if you enjoy baking this would be much appreciated.

The owners have two boys in their early twenties who are often away, however very much part of the family are four dogs, two large and two small. The family are not big entertainers but from time to time you may need to assist with food prep and private functions.

The candidate needs to use their initiative, knowledge, commonsense and be proactive to maintain the residence as they would if it were their own.

START DATE:  No hurry, just want to find the right person for the job

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:  FULL TIME – Monday to Friday 8am-2pm. MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORT – LIVE OUT ROLE . IN PERSON INTERVIEWS SYDNEY.

SALARY:  This will dependant on the candidate’s experience
