A SOLE CHEF FOR 45M MOTOR YACHT (PRIVATE/CHARTER) (CAYMAN ISLAND FLAGGED)

YACHT INFORMATION:

A Sole chef is required for a 45m motor yacht (Private/Charter) to join their crew of 9. The yacht will be in Brisbane, so preference is for the chef to start out of Brisbane or Sydney. The yacht is open to employing a chef that has worked in high profile restaurants in Australia or work on a super yacht of similar size for at least 1-2 years, if you have worked on charter yachts this would be advantage.

Have strong skills in provisioning, menu planning. Be clean and tidy, well organised in the Galley always. Be able to cook a range of different cuisines to a high standard for both owners and charter guests. Owners have a hospitality background with lots of knowledge to teach and pass on, must be willing to learn new skills. The crewmember must be fit a team player and a well-grounded person.

Have an outgoing and flexible personality, be able to work in a small team environment all times. Must be good with customers. Must legally be able to work in Australia. Preference is given to those that are living within New Zealand and Australia or who have working rights in Australia but are open to employing international crew if they met the high standards required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

STCW95, ENG1 OR AMSA MEDICAL tender license and be able to drive a tender properly in a bonus. At least 1-2 years’ Experience is an advantage but not necessary. Must be able to cook good “High standard food” – Asian/Australian cuisine, sea food, if you have a European background of food that would be a bonus.

Tahiti, south Pacific, & Kimberlys.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:  full time

SALARY:  – $116,000-AUD includes super per year. Salary is pending on experience & Qualifications. (Plus, great tips are provided)
